Stafford Pride organisers hail bumper ticket sales

Thousands have already bought tickets to the first event on 10th August

Stafford Pride Festival & Parade have announced bumper ticket sales.

The very first Stafford Pride is taking place on Saturday 10th August in Victoria Park, Stafford, and the organisers say that they are expecting a fun filled day of love, diversity and inclusion.

The Stafford Pride Parade will kick off the festival which will leave the Kingsmead Park at midday, making its way through the Stafford's high street and on towards the town's award-winning Victoria Park for a day full of celebration of the LBGTQ+ community.

Chairman, Jack Taylor-Walker, commented:

"This is a historical moment in Stafford's history, we have never had a Pride in the town before, and its time for us to celebrate our community."

He continued:

"The LGBTQ+ Community in Stafford, the surrounding areas have never had a time to celebrate what the community has achieved over the past decades. Stafford now will move forward with this annual event and the legacy will reach generations to come.

“I am sure the support from our community & the residents of Stafford will be seen along with High Street cheering our Parade on & into Victoria Park!”

Tickets sales have rocketed since the line ups have been announced for the Superbowl UK main stage. There will be live music from; The Players, Sonic Boom and Beyonce Fierce, and the day will be headlined with an appearance from BBC Three's Ru Paul's Drag Race UK Runner Up, Michael Marouli.

The Main Festival is situated in Victoria Park with plenty of stalls, including food and drink, funfair and something for visitors of all ages.
