Community organisation on the move

Hearts & Hands have outgrown their premises on Eastgate Street.

The self funding organisation, Hearts & Hands, are moving premises after outgrowing their current headquarters on Eastgate Street, Stafford.

The group were formed during the COVID pandemic with the aim of supporting working families in and around Stafford but following last year's move to premises at the former Lord Nelson pub in Stafford, they have announced that they are to move to larger premises at Astonfields Industrial Estate which will better accommodate the demand for using their services.

This move marks a significant milestone in their journey. Since their inception four years ago, Hearts & Hands has been committed to providing vital support to those working and in need of a bit of help.

Their team of volunteers has been the backbone of their success, working tirelessly to help those in the community.

Whilst the upcoming move is a substantial undertaking - they are keen to inform their supporters about the temporary changes to operations. To facilitate the transition, Hearts & Hands will be closed to the public for donations on Friday the 13th of September and Tuesday the 17th September. However, they will continue to provide food hampers and maintain their surplus food tables during this period.

Hearts & Hands will move to Jupiter House, which is located on Drummond Road, Astonfields, Stafford. The larger facility allows the organisation to expand their services and prepare them to better serve the community.

The group are also assisting with finding new tenants for their previous premises at The Lord Nelson on Eastgate Street, which will now become available to rent. The Lord Nelson pub is a charming historical property with the potential to be transformed into a fantastic café, juice bar, micro pub or trendy shop. The Eastgate area in Stafford is set to undergo rejuvenation next year, bringing new developments to the town centre. Any organisation interested in this opportunity can contact Millar Sandy on 01785 244400.
