Local Author Darren James has been in touch to tell me about something he's really excited about, and just in time for Christmas!
It's his new and debut book 'Fox Tails’. It's a story about an orphaned fox called Charlie, after his parents are killed he is all alone and meets new friends in the forest. He then gets captured by the farmer and his friends mount a rescue to get him back, and so the adventure begins.
Darren from Stafford, is well known locally having already produced 4 singles, written by Darren and Produced by Daniel Eric Matthews. The singles include 'Together' and 'I Give You What I've Got Today’ - both of which received high recognition. These singles are available to download.
Darren has been a singer/songwriter for almost 40 years and is now fulfilling another ambition, becoming a children's book author.
"The inspiration came from watching the Wind in the Willows with my children when they were young, and imagining an animal as a hero", he said. "That's how Charlie was born. I really do hope children enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it", he added. The Illustrations in the book are by Tamara Piper.
